When A Voice Outside Knows Your Name And It Shouldn’t

Emily Hogan

A voice outside calls your name with your mother’s tone, except she’s gone. That’s the chill that anchors this spooky, story-driven episode where we gather listener tales of ghosts, mimics, and the uncanny details that make hair stand up: jasmine perfume before a phone call, a window that lowers itself without wind, footsteps by the glass, and a 3 a.m. shadow that sprints from the corner to the bed. I share my own nightclub encounter too, the one that had me marching to the office only to be met with raised eyebrows and a security guard’s smirk. Believe me or don’t, some stories refuse to be filed under “nothing.”

We wander through lore-rich places where the veil feels thin. New Orleans surfaces with a decades-spanning bar story and a striking woman whose ice-blue eyes spark a generational shiver. Then Appalachia takes center stage: an isolated rental, forest hush, and a voice that repeats, “Matthew, come out here,” shifting from loving to taunting to angry. If you’ve heard about Appalachian mimics you know the rule: do not answer. Whether you call that superstition or survival wisdom, the pattern is hard to ignore.

Not every spirit unsettles. One listener’s “house friend” nudges doors, returns lost items to the bed, gently lowers a window at night, and seems to clap along with an eight-month-old newcomer. These warmer brushes with the beyond remind us the paranormal isn’t always predatory; sometimes it’s protective. Along the way we talk belief, skepticism, and why certain details make stories feel undeniable. Want more like this? We’re splitting spooky and true crime into separate installments so each can breathe.

SPEAKER_00:

Okay, cheers guys. Emily, Emily to Grammy here with another solo episode, and I'm actually really excited for this episode. I'm excited for all the episodes I do, but this one, I had a lot of fun prepping this episode. This is going to be our ghost and spooky story episode. So I've been building it up for several weeks. I had put it out there that there was a listener named Sarah who really loved the true crime episode, and she said she wanted to do another true crime episode and possibly a ghost andor a spooky story episode. So originally I was just gonna compile all the submissions into one episode, but I decided to split it up into two because it just seemed like it was gonna be too long of an episode if I combined it, and I felt like I just needed each one of them to like shine on their own. So this week will be Ghost and Spooky Stories. Next week will be True Crime, and that one is shaping up to be a great episode as well. Real quick, I have for my episode drink this week, I honestly kind of made it up, but it's a strawberry orange mocktail. So it's just I muddled some strawberries, which reminder to myself I need to buy a muddler because I was using the back of a wooden spoon to smush the strawberries. But I just muddled some strawberries, squeezed out fresh orange juice, shook it all up, poured it over ice, and then topped it with soda water. I mean, I think it tastes pretty good. Would it taste even better with like some champagne in it? Yeah. So, you know, catch me again in April and I'll be making this drink with alcohol. Super good. It's also like really summery. Like we're in the dead of winter right now, and I made like a summery cocktail. I don't know, maybe I'm like craving the sun because it's been so dark and so gloomy. So I don't know, I guess I'm just trying to bring myself some sunshine. So before we get started, I had a couple of gremlin questions that pertained to this episode. So I'm gonna go ahead and answer them. The first one actually came from the inspiration for this episode, Sarah, the girl who wrote in and said she wanted another episode like this. So Sarah says, Thank you so much for taking my suggestion. I'm so excited to be able to contribute a little part of it. I actually found your podcast through the true crime episode you did titled Do We All Work with Murderers? Now you've become a weekly listen along with other podcasts such as My Favorite Murder, also called MFM, and Morbid. Since you are dedicating an entire episode to ghost submissions, I'm wondering if you believe in ghosts or other dimensions such as that. Signed Sarah. Okay, so yes, I do, number one. I just feel like this can't be all that there is. It's kind of in the same vein as I feel about like aliens. Like I think it's like super dense to think that we're the only beings within our even just like the galaxy, but the whole universe. It's just like there's gotta be so much more out there other than what we are currently living right now. I don't know. I feel like that's kind of like some matrix shit too. But yeah, I believe in ghosts. I had said this already. I had my own ghost story that I was going to talk about, and I swear to god, when it happened, it made me feel crazy. It didn't help that the people I was around were like rude, but it was so this is my ghost story. So it was, I was working at this club as a cocktail waitress, and it was like kind of a slow night. It wasn't like a super big, like packed night. And the end of the night came. We it was just myself and another waitress that were left. I was at the bar doing the cash register and just like kind of getting all the paperwork together to turn into the manager. She was on the floor collecting, you know, any little lights we had if there was extra glassware. Like it was just kind of like doing a sweep of the floor. In order to enter the bar that I was in, there was only one entrance. The other side had a wall with like a display case of everything we offered. So there's just one entrance to the bar. The bar's behind me. It's I'm facing this way towards the cash register, filling out my paperwork. And I felt like almost like something brush up against me. And I kind of turned around and there was nothing there. So I just kind of like shrugged it off, I guess. And then I felt it again, but it felt more like a literal squeeze on like my buttslash upper thigh. I flipped around so quick, there was no one behind me. There's no way anyone could have walked into the bar without me seeing them. The wait, other waitress was on the floor, like on the other side of the whole club, collecting, you know, gathering stuff on her tray. And I was like, what the fuck was that? I got so freaked out. I went into the main office and told the manager, and I think there was one of the security guards were sitting there, like they were just like chit-chatting about the night, and I go in and tell them, and they totally thought I was crazy. They were like, No, there's nothing. No, that didn't happen to you. I got so annoyed, and then they were like, Have you been drinking? And mind you, this was before my party days, so like so rude of you. No, I had not been drinking, but that kind of experience made me want to drink. Anyway, they were thinking I was like a Looney Tune. I wasn't. So I go back to the bar and I tell tell the other waitress, and she's like, Oh, yeah, there's totally ghosts here. So she believed that there were ghosts there. The two, you know, closed-minded men that were sitting in the office when I told my story did not believe me, but whatever. Anyway, that's my ghost story, and I truly believe that there was a ghost that you know touched my butt. That's a weird statement, but it's true, and I think it happened, and yeah, that that's it. That's my truth. That is my truth. They really tried to like really gaslight me and make me think I was nuts. I'm nuts, but I'm not like that kind of nuts. Ugh, anyway. So that's my ghost story, and yeah, I totally believe in ghosts, other dimensions, aliens, you know. I love you know, I love all that stuff. I believe in it, you know, just because we can't see it or you know, experience it right now in this form doesn't mean like it doesn't exist. That's what I think. So I don't know. Maybe I should have someone on who's like a total ghost skeptic, and I want to hear like their argument for it. I'll add it to the list. Okay, and next for Gremlin questions, it is from Genevieve. Genevieve says, Have you ever been to New Orleans? I grew up there and have grown up with the stories my entire life. My favorite one was about Jacques Saint-Germain, who lived in the French quarter in the early 1900s, who was said to be a vampire. Signed Genevieve. So, okay, number one, no, I've never been to New Orleans, but I'm dying to go. Like, I feel like I'm just not like I've never really traveled anywhere, and that's like such a bummer. I plan on fixing that, you know, soon. It's just, I gotta get my, you know, my ducks in a row. But no, I've never been to New Orleans. I remember my nana told me she went, I don't know how old she was, but she went, she had a great time. Who knows what she did over there? But she had a great time, so she always told me it was like one of her like most favorite vacations she ever took. I would love to go there. When I was younger, I really wanted to go for like Mardi Gras for you know reasons. Now I would love to go just because like I really love history and you know, soaking up cultures and I love all that stuff, so it's definitely on my bucket list to go. I looked up who Jacques Saint-Germain was. I didn't want to like bore people with like a history lesson. So if you're interested in any of that, I suggest looking it up. It was a fascinating story, but from what I gathered from the articles I read, he was based off of a real person, but it's just a matter of like, was it embellished for like this fantasy of basically making him a vampire? Who knows? Do I believe in vampires? I mean, why not? I think that's fun. I would kind of want to be a vampire, but only if it's like the pretty vampires. Like, I don't want to turn into like like a bat, you know? I don't know. Anyway, but I did want to tell you guys, I wanted to turn you guys on to I found her on TikTok, and actually Jay is the one who sent me this specific story, and then I started following her because I loved her content. On TikTok, her handle is at Ashley Inc. So it's at A-S-H-L-E-E-I-N-C. And her entire page is called Spooky Scary Storytime. I love her alliteration. But the video I was sent, it was it was fascinated me. It's kind of a long video. I'm gonna do like a real quick summary here, but I'm not gonna do it justice. So I suggest you guys go look at it. I mean, all of her stories were fascinating, but this one I was like hooked on every word she had to say. So the and the reason I bring it up right now is because the person who submitted it never said what city or state they were in. They just said it was in a town adjacent to a major city. And then, based off of what I inferred from it, I assumed that this major city they were adjacent to was New Orleans, which is, you know, how I'm kind of tying it all together. But it was about this guy, he submitted it. He was working at this bar as a bar back, and he found it funny that on the front door, you know, how you have like those signs where it says, like, you know, we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, you know, no shoes, no shirt, no service, that kind of thing. They had those, but they also had one that said, no witchcraft on the premises. So he thought it was kind of like a joke. And then he asked co-worker of his, like, hey, what's that about? And they were like, No, it's like serious, like, we don't allow that. And he was like, Did you guys have like a problem with this? Like, I'm so confused. It delves into how there's this one woman who comes in every single month only on the full moon. She comes in and you notice her right away because she's gorgeous. She has these ice blue eyes, and but every single time she comes in, every single month, she has like a different hair, like different hair. Like, so he just thought, oh, she likes to wear wigs. When she first came in, he noticed her and you know, said to the bartender, like, Oh my god, who is that? And the bartender was like, Nah, dude, like she's got a type. She's not gonna give you the time of day. Sure enough, he kind of tried to talk to her and she just kind of like brushed him off. The bartender knew that she always got like a scotch on the rocks, and she would always request a napkin with a pen. And she would just kind of doodle while she sat there sipping her drink and looking around for a man. And sure enough, you know, because she was gorgeous, men would come up to her and she would, you know, always sit down and pay attention to a guy who had looked had a very specific look. Every single month they all kind of looked similar, and she would have she would have a drink with them. At the end of the night, she would pay for her tab and the gentleman she was sitting with his tab, and they would leave together. And that happened every single month. It just kind of like for him being a bar back and working there for several months, it became routine for him. He thought it was interesting, was just like, oh, okay, like, well, you know, go for her. There was one month where she came in, did her whole routine. He went out back to take the trash out, and that's where they have their customer parking lot. He saw that the man she was sitting with went outside to his truck, pulled something out of his truck, went back in the bar. Later on, they left together. The next day he comes to work and sees that the truck is still sitting there. So it ends up getting towed, and that was that. A few months later, after that, the owner of the bar comes in and he does, I guess he doesn't come in that often. And it's important to note that this, the owner of the bar, he inherited the bar from his dad. I believe the bar was established by his dad in like 1946 or something. So he inherited the bar. He comes in, you know, to just, I guess, check something out. Who knows? The woman is sitting at the bar, and the bar owner, he likes all the blood drains out of his face, and he's like, Who is that? And they explain who she is, that she comes in every month, and he flips out. He says that he remembers that lady, specific lady, with that very distinguished, striking look, different hair, but those ice blue crystal eyes. He remembers her from when he was a child and his dad was the owner. And it stood out to him because his dad's friend came into that bar one night and sat down with the woman, talked with the woman, and left with the woman. That friend was never seen from again. And the dad always held such guilt over the fact that the last place his friend was seen was at his bar. So he goes up to the lady and says, starts asking her questions and kind of like grilling her. And she's very adamant she doesn't know him. She's never been to this bar before, even though she comes in every month. It was super strange. So she ends up leaving without a man. And the next time she tried to come in, the owner said to security, You're not allowed to let her in anymore because he was that frightened of her. Anyway, this story is told so much better. I really gave you like the Cliff Notes version of it. I mean, I kind of gave it away, but still, go look at her page. Again, it's on TikTok at Ashley Inc. at A-S-H-L-E-E-I-N-C. Spooky scary story time. She has a ton of videos. They're all submissions. I don't know if she's getting them submitted to her or if it's on Reddit. Who knows? But she the way she tells the stories, it's so much better than I'm doing right now. So go look her up. But that story, I was like, ooh, I don't know. It made me want it made me follow her. I enjoyed it. And in my head, I feel like it was New Orleans. But yeah, like, was this like what was this girl? Was she a vampire? Like a succubus? What like she was a something? I mean, it could be a made-up story too for the skeptics, but I don't know. What do you guys think? Okay, guys. So we are gonna get started on our Ghost and Spooky submissions. This is actually like the longest outline I've ever had for an episode. I have three pages here. And also, I know I asked for this, but reading these when I was home alone and it was getting dark out, it um it it gave me a fright. I will tell you that. Some of the a few of these were like a little bone-chilling. Also, I reject all negative energy coming from this. I reject it for you guys as well. These are just stories, but I don't need any energy. Bad juju that's attached to this. Alright, and the first submission is from Selena. Selena says, Hello, I think I might be on the older side of your listenership, but I very much enjoy your podcast and am able to live vicariously through your gremlin stories. I have a story from way back before you were even born. In 1985, my first husband, now ex and I traveled to Katie, Texas to help clean out his grandparents' home when they both had passed. It was a rather large house, so myself and my ex, his two brothers with their wives, and his mom and dad were all staying in the same house, and we had planned to be there for about a week or so to get all the affairs in order. Halfway through the week, we have packed up a decent amount of the house and decided to turn in early. I woke up at around 3 a.m. with a strange feeling. It's completely dark, with the only source of light coming from the moon peering through the undraped window. I sit up in bed and my gaze is pulled into the corner of the room. There I see the silhouette of a large man, just a shadow and no distinguishable features. I was frozen until the shadow begins to run full force towards me. I screamed the loudest I possibly could and began cowering in the corner. My husband jumped up and everyone came running into our room. I explained what happened and what I saw, and everyone just assumed I had a nightmare. I even began to think it must have been a dream. I wasn't able to sleep for the rest of the night, and the following afternoon I felt so uncomfortable in the house that I asked my husband if we could stay elsewhere for the remainder of the trip. That's when I think the family started to believe my story because they were shocked I did not want to stay in the house any longer. The house was later sold, and I have never had an experience like that since. I am curious to find out what it was, but in the same breath, I hope to never know. Signed Selena. Ooh, good. Um yeah. Also, you woke up at 3 a.m. That's like the witching hour. I think that's when they say that like the veil between us and them like is the thinnest, right? That's what they say, right? Am I making that up? I don't think I'm making that up. I need to just, you know, be confident in what I say. But yeah, that I wonder what it was. And I mean, if nobody else saw it, or like maybe like were there stories before of like hauntings in the house? Doesn't seem like anyone knew that there were, otherwise, they would be a little more receptive to what happened and believe you. But yeah, I'm agreeing with you. And I would be curious to know what it was, but I mean, yeah, I don't I don't need to find out. Honestly, I okay, this is the one I read, and I realized how that it was like, you know, seven o'clock at night, so it was dark as hell home alone, and I was like looking around like ah crap. So I had to turn the TV on and I put like the office on in the background while I was on my computer because it gave me the heebie jeebies. I got like nervous, and then I like I used to be afraid of the dark when I was a kid, but and I mean I obviously grew out of it. I mean, I've lived alone before, but I don't know, and then I started to get weirded out by the shadows, and I was sitting in my living room, so you can see like the hallway that leads to the bedrooms from there. So I just went and turned the halllight on because I got a little nervous. All right, thank you for that submission, Selena, and just know you scared the crap out of me. All right, and the next submission is from Natasha. Natasha says, Have you ever had an experience where you knew someone died before you were told? I have. And I don't want to claim I'm a psychic because I in no way think I am. But this happened to me back in high school in 2008. It was my sophomore year and I had just gotten home from school. When I walked through my front door, I I was overcome by the smell of jasmine, the scent of my grandmother's signature perfume. I peeked around the house and found my dad in his office. I asked him if grandma was here and he said no, extremely confused. About 30 minutes later, my mom came home early in tears, saying she had just gotten a call from her sister and their mom had just unexpectedly passed. I truly believe my grandma was coming to say a final goodbye and make sure I got into the house safely. Now, anytime I smell jasmine, I think of her, and I'd like to think it's just her checking in on us. Signed Natasha. That's yeah, probably I mean, to be over like, I don't know. I can associate, like I associate smells with like certain people. Like I can still smell like my Nana's perfume. She always wore what was it? Oh man, it's gonna bug me now. I can picture the bottle. I don't know what it's called though, but it like almost looks like a little tree, I think. I'm gonna have to do some Googling. But yeah, like if I smelled that smell, I would immediately be like, oh, she's here. Okay, so have I ever experienced knowing that someone died before I was told? I personally haven't. I can say I was trying to think about this when like I read this. I don't remember if it was the night that my Nana passed, or maybe the next night. It was within like the first like two days, let's say. Three, I feel like a stretching it. I'm gonna say the first night or the next night. But I had a dream and it seemed so real that I felt like she had come to me in my dream. She was scolding me in my dream, which made sense. I don't know. I just kind of felt like she was like checking in or, you know, coming to tell me, hey, you know, get your shit together almost. Um, but I do remember, I had completely forgotten about this too, but I do remember this happened like when I was like a kid, kid. Like had to be like the early 2000s. I'm gonna have to like do some digging to figure it out. So it was my great aunt and uncle, because it's my mom's aunt and uncle, so it makes them my great aunt and uncle. So my great uncle, he had been sick for a while, and I believe he was living in like maybe like hospice care or something like equivalent to that, where it wasn't like the hospital, but it wasn't like their home. So, you know, she obviously went and visited him every single day, but at night she said that there was like this one particular night she was sleeping, and she like I don't know if she had a dream or she like woke up and like woke up because of it, but like she like felt him hug her, and then I think she was sleeping, and then she woke up because the phone was ringing and it was the you know hospice center telling her that he had passed. So she had like told us all that story, and I remember like everyone was just like, Oh my god, like if it's just like you know, one of those like stories where you're like, you know, how could she have known she was asleep? It happened at like you know, two in the morning or something like that. So I think stuff like this is completely possible, which is why I also believe in ghosts and other dimensions and what have you. So yeah, I definitely believe that was your grandmother coming to just check on you, make sure you got home safely. And yeah, every time you smell jasmine, maybe it's just her just like peeking in, being like, hey, we're all good, right? I love that. Okay, and our next submission is from Emma. And Emma, I have to say, I got excited when I got your email because you had titled it The Appalachian Mountains. And I didn't want to put this out there because I didn't want like someone to write in like just for the sake of it. I have myself and Jay have a very weird fascination with the Appalachian Mountains because there's so much like lore that comes out from it, and it's like I can't even explain it. I can tell you one thing, you're never gonna find me there. It seems like it's just like a hotbed for like the paranormal and uh and it seems like it's a little like evil, and I just if you're unaware of what I'm talking about, honestly, like I kind of fell into a TikTok like rabbit hole of all these stories. It it scared me, and yeah, you're you're not gonna find me there ever. I think we're good. I'm gonna tell you this story and then I'll tell you what I think it happened, and it's creepy. All right. Emma says, I never really believed in ghost stories. That was until I found myself in the Appalachian Mountains. During COVID, my boyfriend, now husband, and I were starting to get serious cabin fever. We were both working from home and decided we needed to get out. So we landed on the idea of taking a road trip. One of our stops ended up being in West Virginia. We had pre-rented an Airbnb and arrived safely, nothing fantastic to note. The first night was fine, extremely quiet but peaceful. The second night we heard the trees rustling but assumed it was the nice breeze. But the third and final night will haunt me forever. While we were in bed getting ready to fall asleep, I heard what I thought sounded like someone walking outside the bedroom window. My boyfriend and I both heard it, but it went away, so we assumed it was an animal. Then we heard the voice Matthew, come out here. We shot up out of bed. The voice was his mother's. His mother, who had passed away a year and a half earlier. I think we both thought we must have misheard it, but we heard the exact same thing. Then the voice called out again, Matthew, come out here. This time more playful and taunting. When I tell you, I have never in my life felt fear like this. I was cold and shaking and immediately began to sweat. One more time the voice called out, Matthew, come out here. But this time it was mad and annoyed at being ignored. We turned on we turned on the TV and blared the volume and didn't sleep at all. As soon as the sun was out, we packed up and drove the hell out of there. I didn't know all the lore of the Appalachian Mountains before we went, and I'm absolutely fascinated by it and a true believer. My husband doesn't like to talk about this ever, but I told him I was writing this in and he said, quote, yeah, warn people to never go there. Oh my best, Emma. Okay. I don't want to like shame you. How do you not do research on the place you are going to? Even if I'm going to like a place like an hour away, I still look up the area, not because I'm looking for hauntings, but just to, you know, make sure, you know, I'm gonna be safe. Um, okay, what I think it is from you know my extensive TikTok research is I've heard of these things called, they're called mimics. And they they're so creepy. You know what? I never do this for solo episodes, but I'm gonna do a highlight reel on my Instagram page. So you'll if you don't catch it the day I post it, you'll catch it, you'll be in the highlight reel. It'll be episode 36. So they it's they're called mimics because they mimic of either a voice of that of you, of somebody you know, whether they're living or deceased. Um, there have been a lot where there have been there was one video I saw, and you know, it's TikTok. You gotta kind of take it with a grain of salt. It could be true, it could be untrue. I don't know. I'll all I know is it's fucking creepy. And oh god, I just got like chills. The this whoever was taking the video, I forget if it was a man or a woman, they were taking a video. You could tell they were inside their bedroom, the doors closed, and clear as a bell, like as if the person's standing right outside the door, you hear them like calling out for the person and they're like asking to be let in. And the thing is, you should supposedly the lore is you shouldn't interact with the mimics, you should ignore them, you should not invite them in, you shouldn't answer them. It's like, and they have to be let in in or like to be invited into the home to I don't know what happens if one catches you. I don't want to find out. I am very aware that I am home alone right now. I just got like so freaked out. Okay. Um, but yeah, I I don't know what happens if you answer them or they catch you. I don't know. You can do your own research to figure out what happens. I don't, I don't think I want to research it. Or maybe I'll look it up when I'm not here alone. Cause I just I totally freaked myself out right now. God, I did why did I do that to myself? Anyway, I'm gonna put I'll find the video I'm talking about and I will put it in Instagram stories, and then it'll be in the highlight reel labeled episode 36. I will also do the same thing for the story I told and the TikTok page, Ashley Inc. That way you guys can find it a little easier. It's terrifying. Yeah, the Appalachian Mountains, you're never gonna see your girl there. No, I and not even to drive through. There's just, and they span like so far. Like it's like West Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, I want to say both the Carolinas, for sure, North Carolina. I'm not sure if South Carolina is involved. It's just it's such a stretch of land, and it's just like a hot spot of activity. And like I know there's a lot of disappearances there. I mean, there's disappearances everywhere, but there's a lot of disappearances there, and there's a lot of caves and mines, and I just I don't know. It's just it's all creepy. So, Emma, thank you for that. And I just I just scared myself. I really hope one of my cats doesn't like make a really loud noise out there because I don't know, I might pee myself. Okay, we have one final one, and I did this on purpose. I put the scariest one right here, and I we're gonna end on a lighter note because I don't want to leave you guys feeling like debilitated and creeped out. This submission is from Misha, and Misha writes, I have a ghost story, but it's not spooky or scary. Just an acknowledgement that they exist. My mom tells me I used to babble towards nothing when I was a baby, and when I was a toddler, they assumed I had an imaginary friend I would talk with. As a teenager, I remember I used to go to sleep with my window open on summer nights and would always wake up to the window closing. It never slammed shut, just gradually closed as if being pulled down. Little things would happen here and there. Sometimes if I was looking for something, it would turn up randomly on my bed, doors would open and close, that kind of thing. The whole family kind of came to the conclusion that we had a friend who used to live in the house at some point during its past and decided to hang around and keep us company sometimes. I recently went back home for Thanksgiving with my husband and my eight-month-old daughter. And while she was sitting in her pack and play, I noticed her smiling and clapping towards an empty corner. I think it was our friendly ghost welcoming the new addition to the family. Signed Misha. Okay, that's the ghost story I like. I don't want to say it's like a Casper, but it's like, you know, it's probably you're probably right. It's probably someone who used to live in the house. You know, it's a colonial house, so it has hundreds of years of history. But it's probably just someone, I'd like to think it's like a lady who used to live in the house during at some point in its history. And yeah, maybe she just passed. It seems like she passed peacefully in the house, or at least on the land, maybe not in the house. But she just kind of hangs around, she helps you find things. It seems like she always likes the window to be down, she doesn't like a breeze, and she just interacts with small children. I think that's what it is. I think it's just a very friendly spirit who maybe is just making sure the house is being well taken care of and the occupants of the house are safe and happy. That's the way we're gonna end this episode because I don't want to end with Appalachian Mountains. Alright, guys, so that is our episode. I did have more submissions for the Ghost and Spooky story. I decided I'm gonna kind of split these up into a few different episodes. I didn't want to just like throw out all these submissions. I'm sure I'm gonna get more submissions after this is filmed and after it airs. So I am gonna be doing another one in the future. I already have your submissions saved and they're put into a special little folder. So they are saved and they will be read on a future episode featuring ghost and spooky stories. And next week is going to be the true crime episode. Like I said, I've already been working on it. It's gonna be a good one. It's gonna be creepy as well. So it's dark right now, too. Let's see, it is 7.17 right now. I will do my best to film that during the daytime. So I am not so creeped out. If you would like to follow up myself and the podcast, you can do so on Instagram and TikTok, Emily to Gremlin Pod on both. If you'd like to watch this episode and almost all the past episodes, you may do so on YouTube, Emily to Gremlin Pod on YouTube. And today we didn't do Gremlin stories, gremlin guidance, gremlin gossip. It was just dedicated to the spookies. Same with next week. It's gonna be dedicated to true crime. But we will get back to our regularly scheduled programming the week after that. So if you have your own Gremlin story, you need Gremlin guidance, or you have a juicy piece of Gremlin gossip, you can send that in at emily to Gremladepod at gmail.com. Also, you can message or DM me on social media, emily to GremlaiPod on Instagram and TikTok. And I'm still gathering stories for the true crime episode. It hasn't been filmed yet, it's not locked down yet. So if you have any last minute stories you want to submit, make sure to email those in. If by chance you don't make it in before I film, no worries. Like I said, we're gonna be doing multiple episodes on these topics. And yeah, make sure to like, follow, share, subscribe, rate five stars, do all the things. That's our episode, guys. Hopefully it wasn't too creepies. I really enjoyed it. I'm excited to do next week's episode. And let's cheers out with our mocktail. Cheers to you, cheers to me, and cheers to the friendly ghosts. And cheers to keeping away the scary ghosts. All right, cheers, you guys. Bye.
